Amsterdam

Amsterdam is a glorious city. The canals make it just beautiful and I was there on a warm sunny day!

The Intercontinental Amstel is absolutely lovely. The terrace is right on the water and outdoor dining is available. The rooms are exceptionally large and the shower one of the BEST in Europe.

The Anne Frank House is a must see as are the beautiful museums and galleries.

I was there on a Bank holiday and it was fun to see all the locals enjoying their wonderful city!

It is a great city for walking!!!

Sulgrave Interlude

Helen of Noteworthy designed the most wonderful interlude for the National Society of the Colonial Dames of America. We had 30 travelers who thoroughly enjoyed themselves on the 4 night Glorious Gardens Tour in England. Vanessa our tour guide was outstanding.

The tour of The Prince of Wales Highgrove Gardens was unbelievable. The tributes he has made in his garden in honor of his Grandmother will truly warm your heart. The entire gardens show of his love and dedication. We were entertained after the tour with champagne and excellent canapes with lovely piano music under Prince Charles' own artwork. What an evening.

The next evening was also a highlight. We were given a tour by the Marquis of Landsdowne of his Rhododendron Garden. It was absolutely exquisite. Afterwards he and the Marchioness had us to their home for a tour and refreshments, complete with their lovely grandchildren.

Our tour culminated in a beautiful Sunday at Sulgrave Manor. Sulgrave Manor is the ancestral home of George Washington. It is a beautiful museum. We had a wonderful lunch with all the Friends of Sulgrave Manor.
